Thats just one reason, but not messing with main keeps it easier to manage different routing options imho. As a Sonar user and just gradually moving over to Studio One 3 Pro, this would be a great workflow improvement for me personally. If nothing else, so I can have reference tracks that go directly to main, while my mix is bussed together before this it goes out. Maybe its just my workflow, but I never but anything on main (and leave it at 0db). Paint song sections into this track to define song sections. It's two sliders rather than having to adjust each and individual channel in the mix itself. Click the Arranger icon to open the Arranger Track. I could technically do this with the Master Slider as well, but I prefer to use the VCAs and Busses to do it, because I could decide.you know what? I think the guitars need to come down a bit and the vocals could go up. I then use my mastering chain with a limiter set to -0.01 ceiling and a threshold makeup gain of the 6db I took out previously. Stay mindful that Sound Variations display in the Automation Lane, not the Note Editor. I keep the main fader at 0db then use the VCAs or Buss sliders to get the main output to peak at -6 or so. Studio One’s Note Editor offers a quick and easy way for you to enter Sound Variations via a right-click contextual menu. (Vocals, Keys, Bass, Drums, Guitar, etc). Upload and download files to and from your PreSonus Sphere Workspaces with drag-and-drop. Extract chords and tempo maps Any source can become a source of inspiration with a quick drag and drop. For me, MOST of the time, I use Busses or VCAs and send all the track types to them. Copy FX Chains Drag and drop every insert from one channel to another. Gregghart wrote100% agree with SwitchBack.
